the perfect mix

Some ppl appear to be hopped up on happy pills, being oblivious to any bad events going on around them. Others are all too quick to express their disgust at anything that doesn't go exactly their way..

Could it be that the healthiest emotional mix is somewhere btw the extremes? Say, 4 parts good feelings to 1 part bad feelings, shaken not stirred, and served with a twist of lime? =D

Sometimes we should just move away from calculation and towards a hunch and trust ourselves enough to rely on instinct. I follow my heart once. I was irrational. and its not a good ending though I have to say that. Well the chapters of our life should have sharpened our instinct. Sometimes my thoughts are critical, worrisome, and victimizing.

Consider the evolutionary purpose of pain. If you were to stick ur hand in a fire, it hurts. The pain would make you quickly recoil ur hand and run off in search of water. Of course you not gonna enjoy the pain, BUT if you din feel it, you would just leave ur hand in the fire and get serious burn. The pain tells you that you are doing sth WRONG, and provides some very strong motivation to correct it immediately. I think it works the same way with emotions :)

There are two extremes.

Staying constantly focused on what's wrong with my life may make me determined to fix the problems, but it will put me through far more misery than necessary..But acting like a Pollyanna on a Prozac all the time may make me feel good but it wont inspire me to action when sth goes wrong..

Make the most of what life has to offer :)
