Officially 22 year old lady very soon so here I am to review some habits and changes that I would like to adjust in the coming year. Changes are always good, to keep myself enticed, as long as it is in a right direction.

First. Make a pact of myself to read sth that isn't work nor exams oriented each day. Language is powerful. and books deliver many messages and scenarios that help u travel in ur mind. After all, the sky is the limit with the book on ur lap :)

Second. Am trying to adopt the habits of healthy eater whether it is to sharpen my memory, improve my health, stabilize my mood, or boost my energy level. Choosing a healthy diet does not mean we have to be unrealistically thin nor depriving ourselves. Exercise. Being active and staying in shape boosts our mood. Physical fitness is a lifelong commitment and doing ourselves a lifelong favour too :)

Third. Be a kid again. Still remember the days when we couldn't wait to go outside and explore the great big world ? Hide and seek in the back yard. Explore local woodlands for private buried treasure. There is an air of excitement and mystery of unknown. Even though we are not likely to engage in hide and seek as adult, being outside still hold the magic for our souls I believe, reminding me that the world outside is bigger than the wall surrounding us.

ps. Get myself a book from the bookstore last afternoon !

ps. Why do girls tend to carry around emotional baggage? I think the simple answer to this question is that girls tend to be more emotional than men, period. We are more in touch with our emotions, we are more intuitive about other ppl's emotions, and we are more affected by emotions whether they are our own or someone else's. It's all part of our natural built in characteristics as nurturers and social creatures. Okay we just cant be good if we aren't adept at reading, interpreting and using emotions in everyday life.

At times submissive and demure can easily go overboard and push ppl away on the other end of spectrum. Needy. Insecure. You lose ur masculinity and rediscover ur feminine self.

thank you :D

Night at Bangsar :)

I have always looked at two ppl union as a number "8" , where 2 distinct circles which are uniquely separate but connected in an infinite flow by the symbol of infinity. Just like friendship, not merging and engulfing one's unique identity, not in competition but in tandem with each other's growth and change. Thank you so much to my friends that have given me a memorable night. Big hugs !

we had our dinner at Poco, Bangsar before heading for a movie at Mid Valley.

happily ever after

Attended my cousin Jason’s marriage dinner last couple of days and it was truly awesome. Brothers have been busy catching up with their old accenture colleagues and drinking. A memorable night :)

The dinner was at Royal China, Jalan Ampang. Right opposite of Nikko Hotel. I’d just turned up to Nikko Hotel a few days before for YCM function :)

ur value. ur voice.

Walking around acting a role someone else cast you in? Maybe you ignore ur calling because you're afraid what a loved one will think of ur choice. Or perhaps, you live in a carefully perfectly constructed veil , never letting anyone else seeing the REAL you. Because, if they cant see the real you, they cant dislike the real you. Right ?

When you live ur life unafraid of what others think about you, a funny thing happens. By being the genuine you, you will attract more and more genuine ppl into ur world. Be true to ur values and voices. Dont break the layer of who you are, just to be more popular. Its just difficult to feel truly confident behind a facade that would shatter at any moment.

Hmm..sometimes its easy to look at others and believe they have it EASY. But everyone struggles with fear and vulnerability. If someone claims to live in absence of struggle then they;re either telling a half truth or a whole lie !! Life is filled with obstacles..and its fare more honrable to praise the crushing of barrier and boundary than it is to never have them at all right?

ps. DONE with my dance test =)

double-edged sword

Humans are relational beings, hard-wired for community and live better. Inevitably life is gonna hand us some situations, leaving us helpless. Asking for help can be seen daunting, and you always tend to turn to someone you know and you trust when you need some opinions or guidances. If ur goal is simply to garner support for a task that you're unable to do it on ur own, you will find it very much easier to look for a complete stranger for help or..just pay for a professional to assist you. whatever :)

But sometimes, you just wanna get some words from someone you're comfortable with, the someone that you trust because you know he wont hurt you. It is much more easier to express what's your feeling. and you smile not because you wanna avoid awkwardness but truly from ur heart. It makes me feeling vulnerable and dependency is growing. :)

the perfect mix

Some ppl appear to be hopped up on happy pills, being oblivious to any bad events going on around them. Others are all too quick to express their disgust at anything that doesn't go exactly their way..

Could it be that the healthiest emotional mix is somewhere btw the extremes? Say, 4 parts good feelings to 1 part bad feelings, shaken not stirred, and served with a twist of lime? =D

Sometimes we should just move away from calculation and towards a hunch and trust ourselves enough to rely on instinct. I follow my heart once. I was irrational. and its not a good ending though I have to say that. Well the chapters of our life should have sharpened our instinct. Sometimes my thoughts are critical, worrisome, and victimizing.

Consider the evolutionary purpose of pain. If you were to stick ur hand in a fire, it hurts. The pain would make you quickly recoil ur hand and run off in search of water. Of course you not gonna enjoy the pain, BUT if you din feel it, you would just leave ur hand in the fire and get serious burn. The pain tells you that you are doing sth WRONG, and provides some very strong motivation to correct it immediately. I think it works the same way with emotions :)

There are two extremes.

Staying constantly focused on what's wrong with my life may make me determined to fix the problems, but it will put me through far more misery than necessary..But acting like a Pollyanna on a Prozac all the time may make me feel good but it wont inspire me to action when sth goes wrong..

Make the most of what life has to offer :)
