But to me, I like to hear the flaw and uniqueness of singer's texture of voice. Its the difference between playing the right notes on a cheap child's violin and playing them on an antique Stradivarius. Both are in tune, but one sounds a lot better :)

I enjoy songs performed by my favourite celebrities. Often we find singers carry a tune, or sing accurately to pitch, but it has nothing to do with musicality. I think message conveying in a song is more important. There are singers who hit pitch everytime and span the gamut from dull to execrable. Its hard to say what makes a singer "good" in a strict sense. But i would say there are some who are better than others, and a few are true standouts.
