ouch :(

remembered in the previous post how i complaint about my clumsiness. I sprained my arm and the pain was just hard to bare. and today another finger of bad luck needled me.

5 antibiotics every day.

it costs 75 bugs solely for the antibiotics. and i get the ponstan to kill the intense pain. How pain? i couldn't doze off at night but keep on clenching and unclenching my fist over the booster. So the total medical expenditure moved up to 3 digits with a collection of colorful pink and yellow pills.

hello penang btw :)

dun worry, not h1n1, its nerve problem btw, not spreading one :)

sprain

i wondered since when sports had been glaringly out of my range of abilities. I was trained in table tennis since standard 2 and the memory of participating in competitions from inter school to district level was tangling in my mind. We used to go for basketball or squash during the last two years. But we had been leading the sedentary life for quite some time and i sprained my left arm after trying to pick up the healthy habit again.

pain needled me from the back of my neck till my shoulder and arm that i had to wake up during my sleep and applied more yoko yoko just to kill the pain.

lesson of the day. Do warming up urself if sports had been a bitter pill for you to swallow :)

ps. just get the petrol pumped. other option, Ron 95 or Shell Unleaded 95.hmm..

one of these days

sometimes its just felt really relaxing to get urself indulging in the soft easy-going music, one that would fit with the sun streaming in through the open windows and the warm, humid air.

one of these days by Tim McGraw

it was one of the way of burning off nervous energy. Some ppl smoked, others bit their nails.

just when friend and i were plucking our hair to do the matlab, someone just showed himself and offered the supper by surprise.

that night was tiring. imagine the rain poured down like the slip of a bucket outside and the wind blew so wild that my hair had blinded me and we still had to walk up and down in cyberia and came back in the morning. The report was really thick. perhaps 40 pages.

anyway i just got the email from dad. so i might be going back to pg for 3 days after my last paper in final exam at 6 october :)

two is better than one ♥

a very nice song to listen to especially when the dark and silence were piercing. Put on the headset, close your eyes and lay across the bed, curling up into a small ball and sink into a dreamless night :)

this is the version sing by BLG. acoustic. best

another version recommended by friend. featuring with taylor swift :)

i personally like the duet version, their voices saturated with sweetness and a peculiar sense of release washed over me when i listened to this beautiful piece of music.

we the kings

just for the sake of posting. the pictures are colorful. i like it :)

crap

finally there was some sanity saving alone time for myself, to sink down and tidy up my unsorted feelings. Disappointment and exhaustion had gotten the best of me. and i quickly rubbed my hand across my cheek, and sure enough traitor tears were there, betraying me. I wondered was i having multiple personality disorder. Why was my temper hardwiring to my tear ducts. Such a humiliating tendency. Perhaps i should stop over estimating myself. I was just the petty someone by the roadside.

Just let me sinking for these moment okay. and i got really better after keep repeating "it ends tonight" by the all-american rejects with the loudest volume i dunno why. Brother always assured me that "commitment" and "determination" were not merely concepts. They were a reality. Just kept holding on. Move along. I knew jas Ee cory and sc were striving very hard to overcome obstacles every single day all the way in Aus, Tokyo, and Sg. So i wont be giving up as well. Jia you ♥

birthday celebration.

career fair AGM 26 august 2009

impressed with how persuasive and attractive the speech delivered by the director Ewen :)

elmo backpack

a sharp jolt of funny pierced my stomach as my friend told me about this, sth about my dear chenchow and the blogger pinkpau.

here it is how the story flows.

chenchow was the facilitator of the US Applications Workshop associated by Descartes Education Centre back at 25 July 2009. It was basically about sharing the direct advice and information on the application process to US universities. It was a free education talk featuring former and current students from the 8 Ivy League universities in US ( Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Cornell, Columbia, UPenn, Dartmouth, Brown) as well as other top liberal arts college.

chenchow went to NewYork to do his degree in Cornell University when i was still very young. Perhaps i was just aged 12 that time ;p So he was invited to represent Cornell University.

pinkpau as well. but i not sure which uni she is representing :)

and this girl sent a msg to him

dear mr. yeoh chen chow, for my services during the US Apps 2009 workshop, i would like to request for remuneration in terms of an Elmo Backpack. please do let me know if you think this is an appropriate compensation; an illustration of a prototype is attached below:

and there was no reply from him.

( quote from pinkpau's blog )

and i just cant help but laughed a shaky laugh. Expected larr :)
I understand my dear brother so so so well that he is always a very serious man. How serious? I will never use that kind of broken or short form or inappropriate grammar to text with him. My brother dont read Dan Brown's books :)

hands are meant to hold

go ahead and waste your days with thinking
when you fall everyone stand
another day and you've had your fill of sinking
with the life held in your
hands are shaking cold
these hands are meant to hold

speak to me when all you got to keep is strong
move along move along like i know ya do
and even when your hope is gone
move along move along just to make it through
move along ♥

(lyric-move along)

another great song
i like songs with beautiful lyrics
such as no boundaries by adam lambert, best of me by daniel powter, falling into history by avril lavigne, your face by taylor swift

frantic pace stained in the air, always, nowadays
when you feel the whole world lurched
tilting the wrong way on its axis
just kept holding on and moved along

its totally not sth to be shy to share ur emotions with someone you were comfortable with

sometimes even iron men might need someone to fold the arms around them as they crumpled
i understood the struggle to permit ourselves for emotions outburst
because even though i dont wanna agree
speaking of feelings were glaringly outside my range of abilities
that's why i was so frequent in blogging
scrawling the angry and happy letters was much easier than voicing, i think

but we dont have to talk all the time
i dont think there was a need to fill every silence with chatter
just let the silence and understanding swelled btw you and your friend ♥
but i did understand sometimes ppl want to be alone
not to have to smile and look pleased
♥♥♥

three factors that affect capacity of contract

  1. age
  2. sound mind
  3. disqualification. eg - undischarged bankrupt, aliens

quote from lecture slides :D

sigh

now i really understood what really counted was how much time we spent preparing and putting effort. I had a series of hurdles to clear. Constitutional law. Contract law. which will be tested on monday night. The poor command of english of mine chocked my throat. and dictionary.com had become my favourite site these few days. I did hope to do all the groundwork. but language aint sth that we could master it in short period without brushing up consistently.

there were always a string of complaints that mom'd raised up about my beh-kua english since long time ago. Mom complained about my rojak english which always so rich of malaysia culture. Because i always told my mom if we are malaysian please say -lah :D and mommy always felt the tenor of my emotions, but she couldn't read the reasons behind them. Sitting still at the living room after dinner to catch up the news in CNN with dad was totally not my cup of coffee.

and now regret needled me. deeply :(

week11

:)

lips pressed into curve line, always :)
everyone is having a crooked smile
and the ice-cream..yeah..so tempting that i could only stare at them like an idiot

its almost the end of trimester one

week10 :)

fleetingly happy mood
and i just wanna laid across the bed, curling up into a small ball, wrapping my arms around my legs :)
first. dad just email me, informing that both dad and mom's holidays are approved! At first my eyebrows always stayed lodging in a worry line but now no more.
second. i just bought my mouth candy. chocalate wafer. pringles. biscuits. milk. apples. My lips pressed into a curve line when my cupboard is filled with food.
third. i just picked up a new hobby.

happiness washed over me. how about u?

last lab delta first sem

oh some feelings slipped today
i needed someone who always carried happiness with them
like an aura
sharing it with whoever was near them
like an earthbound sun
whenever someone was within its gravitational pull
they warmed them

today i had my very last lab sessions MTA2 Synthesis Of Audio Signal
it was contrasty indeed more relaxing compared to others lab sessions
we get to put up our headset, record, do some matlab and listen to the music with different sampling rate
and i choosed the song "goodbye to you"by michelle branch to be sampled :)

and i was feeling so easy right this moment
because finally i'd raced away the unsorted feeling and moved on
my mind was a sieve and i might someday not be able to rmb the texture of the voice
it was part of the stories of mine that fall into history ^^
Align Right

two down. one to go

the air was damp. It didn't burn my eyes the way the wind in the big plaza had, and that was comforting. As was the night, too, after that terrifying brightness. Like the warm quilt I'd played under as a child. The dark felt familiar and protecting.

atmosphere of freedom that hung over. There was a perceptible thrill in the air. Freedom was so close it was touchable, taste-able. Signs of it were everywhere. But its just for today. and i should pick up the study mood again for the coming next paper. So many things ahead. I had two papers last two days. I turned up to my jap class after the exam and i found myself totally distracted. My brain worked really slow through the fog of sleep deprivation and i was nervous to the point of nausea for the next paper on the following day. I picked up the phone, wanna voiced out my bottled feeling but i cut it before the line was connected.

and i just don't wanna overthink my feelings. Act on my impulses, not my conclusions.

I nodded, turning the corners of my mouth up nearly managing a smile :)

my hot honey milk and ur hot chocalate

and i would like to share about an awkward conversation i had. The waiter apporoached and asked in his fluent cantonise that why didn't i smile. Weird. Absolutely weird.
